Burkburnett ISD will build Healthy SySTEMs for military-connected students at all five campuses. Through Project Lead the Way (PLTW), students will experience authentic, work-based learning activities that inspire them to explore Health Science. Healthy SySTEMS begins in Pre-Kindergarten with investigations into the functions of the body and culminates at high school with the opportunity for students to step into the roles of medical investigators, surgeons, and biomedical engineers. Through problem-based learning, students enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematical skills.
